What you can do about CR Chelverton's plans for destruction

Simon Morgan - CR Chelverton's director - refuses to come to meet residents of Lancaster. If he won't come to talk to us, we'll have to talk to him!

If we want to save our city we have to act now - by the time CR Chelverton have a public consultation it will be too late. We need to tell them now that their development is not wanted in Lancaster. We can't rely on the Council to turn them down. If we want Chelverton out of our town we have to do it ourselves.

Here are contact details for all of CR Chelverton's directors. Please write, email, fax and telephone them with your views. (Simon Morgan is the most important one.) It doesn't have to take long - just let them know what you think about their plans. Here's some sample letters to send to CR Chelverton long letter with details and reasons why you don't like the plans and a short and sharp letter. You can also send faxes by email - we've put the fax-to-email address for each director if you want to do that, or see here for more info on fax-to-email.

If you send us your letter we can put them on this website too. Be creative! Enjoy!

If you still feel like writing more letters (!), you can write to your local councillor. To find out who your councillor is and to get their contact address on the virtual-lancaster.net site or phone Town Hall on (01524)582 000.

As well as your local councillor make sure you write to the Cabinet Members since they may have the final say. (Note: Labour haven't taken their seats in the Cabinet on principle. You may wish to ask them to take their seats on this one occassion as a concession to the seriousness of the situation).

Since CR Chelverton have been talking to Council Officers, but not councillors or residents, perhaps you'd like to ask Senior Planning Officer Andrew Dobson what the plans are:
